Bezzera Cycling Team is privileged to have a connection to the originator of the espresso machine. Prior to 1901, espresso coffee was made by Italians using a stove top. In took great foresight by Luigi Bezzera in 1901 to utilise a steam boiler and a handle to allow the making of espresso coffee in around 1 minute rather than 8 minutes that would be required for a stove top. Bezzera coffee machines have been designed and refined over the intervening years which is reflected in the models they produced today! “Designed to Perform”, the catch cry we proudly wear on the back pocket of our jersey’s has an ironical impetus in the way we need to ride.
